Every organization has their own rules. These rules are followed by the employees and everyone involved. The owner has to ensure his employees work in accordance with the established value and rules.<\/p>\n

Discipline ensures that there is harmony among various characters within organizations: management to employees, supervisors to subordinates, and employees to employees. the important element in discipline is a positive reinforcement to motivate your employees to meet the organizational standards. Being soft on employees will cause misbehavior. Conversely, rewards, bonuses, promotions, and other positive reinforcement will encourage the employee to work harder.<\/p>\n

To encourage discipline to your employees, begin with the following steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Establish your expectations. Your employees need to know what are your expectations of them. Provide the informative job description to tell them their responsibilities.<\/li>\n
  2. Recognize the kinds of employees you have.Employees come from the various background. These multi-dimensional employees allow you to set the discipline that also varies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. Solve problem directly. Any bad practice or improper attitude should be warned immediately. It tells your employees that negative attitudes can not be tolerated. Giving warn right away will prevent your employees from making mistakes for a long term.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Provide training. Training will encourage employees to improve their problem-solving skill and contribute to chitinous improvement.<\/li>\n
      2. Hold regular meeting. Regular meeting with your employee enables you to identify the problems occurred and discuss the solutions. Through this meeting, you can evaluate their job performance, find out their objections as well as expectations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Open communication. Communicate the organization’s mission and visions, profitability, and overall goals. When the employees fully understand these, they can independently support you.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          The lack of self-discipline employees leads to a negative working environment, decline the individual productivity and organizations. Developing self-discipline takes a lot of effort and time.
